About the Role
ZTE Uganda, under its MS Project, is seeking a proactive and customer-focused EBU Support Engineer to provide technical support for enterprise voice and data services.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot service issues, support service activation and migration activities, monitor network performance, and ensure customer incidents are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for enterprise voice and data services, including Internet, MPLS/IP VPN, FTTH, LTE/APN, and SIP Trunk solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and voice service incidents within agreed SLA timelines.
- Support service provisioning, testing, activation, and customer migration activities.
- Monitor service performance and proactively identify potential network and service issues.
- Escalate complex technical faults to relevant internal teams and vendors.
- Coordinate with technical teams and service providers to ensure timely fault resolution.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or complex incidents.
- Maintain accurate incident records, technical documentation, and service reports.
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding service incidents and resolution progress.
- Support service assurance activities and contribute to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in shift-based and on-call technical support when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in telecommunications, network operations, IT support, or enterprise service support.
- Exposure to enterprise voice and data services within a telecommunications company, ISP, or managed services environment is an added advantage.
