CCARE UGANDA JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report abnormalities promptly
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Assist doctors during medical procedures and ward rounds

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control measures
• Prepare and manage medical equipment and supplies
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when required

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medication use
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients
• Promote health awareness and preventive healthcare practices

• Work closely with doctors, laboratory staff, pharmacists, and other health professionals
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, and shift handovers
• Support multidisciplinary teamwork to improve patient care outcomes

• Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, and ethical guidelines
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives

• Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN preferred) from a recognized institution
• Must be registered with a valid practicing license from the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
