Job Summary
Catalyst Now is seeking a Partnerships Fellow to support fundraising, partnerships, grants management, and operational coordination activities.
The successful candidate will provide administrative and strategic support to ensure funding opportunities are identified, proposals are prepared, donor relationships are maintained, and partnership processes are effectively managed.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Opportunities & Partnerships Research

  • Identify and share relevant grant and funding opportunities aligned with Catalyst Now’s mission.
  • Assess funding opportunities against organisational priorities before recommending them.
  • Maintain an updated funding calendar and proactively track upcoming deadlines.
  • Support partnership development activities with donors, organisations, and social innovators.

Proposal Writing & Grant Applications
  • Support preparation of grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
  • Draft initial proposal sections independently for review.
  • Compile supporting documents and ensure applications are complete before submission.
  • Track grant submission timelines and ensure deadlines are achieved.

Pipeline & Donor Administration
  • Maintain accurate donor databases, partnership records, and funding pipelines.
  • Update CRM systems, spreadsheets, and documentation platforms regularly.
  • Track agreements, invoices, payments, and partnership commitments.
  • Identify outstanding actions and escalate issues when necessary.

Internal Coordination & Communication
  • Support scheduling and coordination of fundraising and partnership meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing documents, and presentation materials.
  • Record and circulate accurate meeting minutes within agreed timelines.
  • Monitor action points and ensure teams remain updated on deadlines and priorities.

Partnership Support
  • Work closely with the Fundraising Specialist and Resource Mobilization & Partnerships Team.
  • Support communication with external partners, donors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing engagement plans for organisations and individuals.
  • Contribute to strengthening relationships with strategic partners.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Development Studies, International Relations, Business Administration, Communications, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with CRMs, spreadsheets, and digital documentation systems.
  • Ability to analyse information and present ideas clearly.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate should have experience or exposure in:
  • Nonprofit fundraising.
  • Grant writing and grant management.
  • Partnership coordination.
  • Donor relations.
  • Programme administration.
  • Operations support.
  • Research and reporting.

Minimum Experience: 12 months
Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Working Hours: 8 hours per day

Grant Management: Understanding of funding applications, proposal preparation, reporting requirements, and donor processes.
