About the Role
Stanbic Bank is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to join its Insurance & Asset Management/Bancassurance division. The Officer, Support Bancassurance will deliver robust operational, administrative, and claims-assessment support to guarantee seamless pre- and post-sales service experiences for internal stakeholders and external clients alike. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Operational & Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks for all Bancassurance products, quickly actioning policy amendment requests originating from the branch network. 
  • Claims Assessment & Management: Efficiently assess insurance claims to ensure that Turnaround Time (TAT) targets are strictly met. Guide clients on document requirements and necessary procedures right at the notification stage. 
  • Customer Query Resolution: Handle and resolve customer, underwriter, and branch correspondences via phone, email, or formal letters, offering proactive feedback to maximize client satisfaction. 
  • Policy Guidance: Maintain a clear understanding of policy wordings, terms, and conditions to interpret and communicate product meanings effectively to clients. 
  • Sales Enablement: Actively support sales consultants and branch/segment/channel teams (both virtually and physically) to help achieve overall business targets. 
  • Stakeholder Relations: Foster solid, collaborative working relationships with external underwriters, internal branch networks, and the wider Bancassurance team. 
Key Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: First Degree in Business, Commerce, or a closely related field. 
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working in branch consulting or banking/insurance operations. 
  • Product Competency: Deep working knowledge of at least 3 distinct insurance products. 
  • Technical Competencies: Strong grasp of insurance principles, claims management, customer experience design, consumer banking product knowledge, and precise written communication. 
  • Behavioral Competencies: Excellent task management, procedure adherence, critical information examination, and practical problem-solving capabilities within a team-driven framework.
