OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH (OSH) OFFICER JOB OPPORTUNITY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) policies and procedures

• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Liaise with regulatory authorities

• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions

• Conduct safety training sessions and awareness programs
• Promote a strong safety culture in the workplace

• Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in:
  • Occupational Safety & Health
  • Environmental Science
  • Or related field
• 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing sector preferred)
• Certification in OSH is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan OSH laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
