Woods & More is seeking a creative and technically skilled Interior Designer and CNC Operator to support furniture design, production planning, and precision manufacturing processes.

Job Summary

The Interior Designer and CNC Operator will be responsible for developing creative interior designs, preparing production drawings, operating CNC woodworking machines, and ensuring accurate translation of designs into finished furniture products.
The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of interior design, furniture production processes, computer-aided design software, and CNC machine operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design Development
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D interior designs for:
    • Kitchens
    • Wardrobes
    • Doors
    • Cabinets
    • Custom furniture projects
  • Develop creative concepts based on client requirements.
  • Support space planning and material selection.
  • Prepare realistic design presentations for clients and production teams.
2. Production Drawing and Technical Preparation
  • Prepare accurate production-ready drawings.
  • Develop cutting plans and manufacturing specifications.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and furniture designs.
  • Ensure designs are suitable for workshop production.
  • Coordinate with carpenters and production teams to achieve accurate results.
3. CNC Machine Operation
  • Operate CNC woodworking machines for:
    • Precision cutting
    • Engraving
    • Furniture component production
  • Prepare CNC files and production outputs.
  • Create and edit CNC toolpaths using relevant software.
  • Ensure CNC operations meet design specifications and quality standards.
4. Design Software Management
  • Use professional design software including:
    • SketchUp
    • AutoCAD
    • ArchiCAD
    • Blender
    • Aspire
    • Similar design tools
  • Develop accurate digital models and production files.
  • Maintain organised design documentation.
5. Workshop Collaboration
  • Work closely with furniture production teams.
