Kiwoko Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly organized Estates Manager to oversee the maintenance, development, and management of the hospital's buildings, infrastructure, utilities, and technical services.

Job Summary

The Estates Manager will provide strategic leadership for the Estates Department by ensuring hospital buildings, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. The role involves managing maintenance operations, overseeing capital projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, supervising technical staff, and promoting sustainability initiatives that support efficient healthcare service delivery.
This position is ideal for professionals with experience in estates management, facilities management, engineering maintenance, project management, hospital infrastructure, construction supervision, energy management, and property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estates and Facilities Management
  • Lead and manage the Estates Department.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance of hospital buildings and infrastructure.
  • Ensure hospital facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor utility systems including electricity, water, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
2. Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Supervise maintenance of hospital buildings, roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
  • Ensure medical and non-medical equipment infrastructure is properly maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements.
  • Coordinate emergency maintenance activities.
3. Project Planning and Development

Qualifications and Requirements
