Key Responsibilities

• Transport company products, materials, and staff safely to designated locations.
• Load and unload company merchandise carefully and securely.
• Ensure goods are delivered on time as directed by supervisors or management.
• Support transportation requirements including:

  • Special assignments
• Ensure safe handling of company property during transportation.

2. Vehicle Safety and Security

• Ensure the safety and security of:
  • Passengers
  • Goods
  • Company vehicle

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and properly maintained.
• Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults promptly.
• Report accidents, incidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow all company vehicle safety procedures.

3. Delivery Documentation and Records Management

• Ensure accurate completion of all delivery-related paperwork.
• Maintain proper records including:
  • Delivery documents
  • Maintenance receipts
  • Vehicle logs
  • Travel records
• Keep accurate travel logs showing:
  • Routes traveled
  • Travel times
  • Working hours
  • Fuel usage where applicable
• Ensure all transportation activities are properly documented.

4. Vehicle Maintenance and Care

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, including:
  • Interior cleanliness
  • Exterior appearance
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks such as:
  • Oil level checks
  • Battery checks
  • Tire condition checks
  • Fuel level monitoring
• Coordinate vehicle servicing and repairs when required.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance records.
• Ensure the vehicle is always presentable and operational.

5. Customer and Professional Service

• Provide courteous and professional support when interacting with:
  • Customers
  • Suppliers
  • Company employees
  • Other stakeholders
• Maintain a professional appearance in line with company standards.
• Represent the company positively during deliveries and transportation activities.
• Handle company property responsibly.

6. Compliance with Traffic and Safety Regulations

• Comply with:

  • Vehicle-related requirements
  • Official transport documentation
• Drive responsibly and maintain safe driving practices at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Certificate and above.

Professional Experience

• Proven experience as a:
  • Company Driver
  • Professional Driver
  • Delivery Driver
  • Transport Driver
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
