Job Summary
SeaOwl Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Site Manager / Mechanical Engineer to oversee the safe, reliable, and compliant execution of maintenance contracts specializing in Fired Heaters and Annulus Gas Compressors. The successful candidate will supervise daily site activities, coordinate maintenance operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and provide technical leadership to maintenance teams while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily site operations and provide technical leadership to maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate and schedule mechanical maintenance activities to ensure timely project execution.
  • Oversee maintenance work on Fired Heaters and Annulus Gas Compressors.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with company procedures, engineering standards, and client requirements.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture.
  • Review employee timesheets, work schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Identify maintenance risks and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are maintained throughout maintenance activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Support site planning, budgeting, and resource management activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and properly maintained.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians to improve technical performance.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Relevant industrial maintenance experience in mechanical engineering operations.
  • Experience working within the oil and gas, energy, engineering, or industrial maintenance sectors is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Fired Heaters, Annulus Gas Compressors, rotating equipment, and industrial maintenance systems.
  • Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings, maintenance procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards within industrial environments.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
