Chef Job Opportunity – Haven Spot Bar and Restaurant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of local and restaurant dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is cooked, presented, and served in a timely and attractive manner.
• Plan daily menus and assist in developing new meal ideas.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety within the kitchen.
• Properly handle, store, and preserve food supplies and ingredients.
• Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation before serving customers.
• Manage kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Control food wastage through proper preparation and storage practices.
• Work closely with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Ability to prepare local Ugandan foods very well.
• Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to hygiene, cleanliness, and food presentation.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, disciplined, and committed to delivering quality service.

• Must be flexible and available to support kitchen operations when required.
