Markh Investments is hiring a qualified professional to manage inventory control, stock management, warehouse operations, and stores administration.
JOB TITLE: INVENTORY / STORES OFFICER – UGANDA JOB VACANCY 2026
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure efficient receipt, storage, safeguarding, issuance, and control of company inventory and supplies while maintaining accurate stock records, supporting warehouse operations, improving logistics efficiency, and ensuring smooth business supply chain flow in a fast-paced organizational environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (STORES, INVENTORY & WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT JOB UGANDA)
  • Receive, inspect, and verify goods against purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure proper warehouse storage, stock organization, inventory classification, and safe preservation of goods.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, stock cards, inventory registers, ERP records, and SAP inventory system data entry.
  • Issue stock and supplies against approved requisitions, internal approvals, and company procurement procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels, reorder levels, minimum stock thresholds, and recommend timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, stock audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, missing items, damages, losses, and warehouse variances.
  • Prepare monthly inventory reports, stores reports, stock valuation reports, and warehouse performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management policies, warehouse SOPs, procurement policies, and internal controls.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, security, and proper organization of the store and warehouse environment.
REQUIREMENTS (UGANDA PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS JOBS 2026)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, Logistics Management, Warehouse Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Procurement and Supply Chain (CIPS Uganda / CIPS Certification) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in stores management, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics coordination, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in clearing and forwarding, logistics companies, freight handling, import/export operations, or warehouse distribution centers is highly preferred.
  • Experience using SAP inventory management system, ERP systems, computerized stock control systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
