Key Responsibilities

Trial Setup & Brooding Management

• Pre-heat brooding houses 24–48 hours before chick placement.
• Ensure concrete floors, litter, and ambient air achieve target temperatures.
• Prepare facilities to maximize chick comfort immediately upon arrival.

• Calibrate and test:
  • Feeders
  • Drinkers
  • Heating equipment
  • Brooding systems
• Prevent equipment failures during critical early brooding stages.

• Calculate and implement optimal:
  • Stocking density
  • Feeder allocation
  • Drinker allocation
• Ensure space requirements match incoming sample cohort sizes.

• Establish structured chick comfort zones using chick guards.
• Prevent draft exposure and overcrowding.
• Guide chicks toward feed, water, and heat sources.

• Conduct crop fill assessments at:
  • 8 Hours
  • 12 Hours
  • 24 Hours
• Evaluate feed and water access effectiveness.

• Implement and monitor lighting schedules.
