Position Summary

Mota-Engil Uganda is seeking talented, dynamic, and proactive graduates to join its Human Resources Trainee Program. This one-year internship provides an opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in human resource management, talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, HR administration, and organizational support.
The program is designed to equip trainees with valuable professional skills, practical workplace experience, mentorship, and exposure to international best practices in human resource management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Human Resources Administration
  • Support daily human resource operations and administrative activities.
  • Assist in maintaining employee records and HR documentation.
  • Ensure accurate filing and organization of personnel information.
  • Support compliance with company policies and HR procedures.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Assist in recruitment and selection processes.
  • Support job advertisement, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Participate in onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Maintain recruitment records and applicant databases.
Employee Relations Support
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace activities.
  • Assist in addressing employee inquiries and administrative concerns.
  • Promote positive working relationships across departments.
  • Support implementation of organizational culture initiatives.
Training & Development
  • Assist in organizing training sessions, workshops, and learning programs.
  • Support employee development initiatives and capacity-building activities.
  • Coordinate training logistics and attendance records.
  • Contribute to continuous learning and professional development programs.
HR Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain relevant records.
  • Support data collection and HR analytics activities.
  • Assist in monitoring HR performance indicators.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
Organizational Support
  • Collaborate with various departments on HR-related activities.
  • Support implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with workforce planning and administrative coordination.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Eligibility Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in:
    • Human Resources Management
    • Human Resource Administration
    • Or a related Human Resources discipline
Graduation Requirement
  • Must have graduated in 2025 or 2026.
