POSITION SUMMARY
Regional Team Lead
The Regional Team Lead will provide technical oversight, monitoring, and support for the implementation of integrated, life-saving HIV, TB, and broader health interventions across two regions in Uganda using a whole health systems approach.
The successful candidate will strengthen the capacity of project partners and collaborate closely with district and regional health structures to ensure coordinated, high-quality service delivery.
The role will ensure timely delivery of quality technical outputs within budget, supervise program staff to achieve targets, engage regional stakeholders including Government of Uganda counterparts, and contribute to performance review and learning platforms.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for integrated HIV, TB, nutrition, malaria, and maternal health services across assigned regions.
• Collaborate with project technical teams, including the Technical Director, Senior Technical Advisor (Health Programs), laboratory, community services, HRH, and strategic information teams.
• Lead the translation of project workplans into coordinated regional activities and implementation plans.
• Strengthen community services and health service delivery platforms while ensuring effective use of resources and budgets.
• Support implementation of integrated health interventions aligned with project objectives.
• Lead day-to-day technical activities and track achievement of project results.
• Build and strengthen capacity of staff, implementing partners, and stakeholders.
• Maintain productive relationships and technical exchanges with regional counterparts and implementing partners.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, technical standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate and guide regional technical staff, sub-partners, and project implementers.
• Draft technical donor reports and review partner workplans and reports.
• Present project progress updates to donors and government stakeholders.
• Collect, analyze, and aggregate program data for decision-making and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements and implement solutions.
APPLIED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Ensure timely and effective technical support for project implementation.
• Ensure quality delivery of technical activities and health systems strengthening interventions.
• Conduct routine coordination with project staff, consultants, and field teams.
• Strong expertise in integrated health programming, including HIV, TB, malaria, nutrition, and maternal health.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and follow-up.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

• Assess operational and programmatic needs and develop practical solutions.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve complex program implementation challenges.
• Develop innovative solutions where standard approaches are insufficient.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in data, systems, workflows, and program processes.
SUPERVISION & REPORTING
• Coordinate workflow and establish priorities for project implementation.
• Work under the guidance of the Technical Director.
• Supervise and mentor technical staff and regional teams.
• Support capacity development of less experienced team members.
Reports To: Technical Director, EpiC Project
EDUCATION
• Master's Degree or International Equivalent in:
  • Public Health
  • Global Health
  • Epidemiology
  • Clinical Medicine
  • Human Development
  • Related Health Fields
• Project Management (PM) training is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience implementing HIV and health-related projects in Uganda.
• Strong experience in integrated health programming involving HIV, TB, malaria, nutrition, and maternal health.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical standards, operational processes, and workflows to improve health service delivery.
• Program development and project management experience is highly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Typical office working environment.
• Ability to spend extended periods working on a computer.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift between 5–25 lbs when required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
40% – 60% Travel
COMPENSATION
Expected annual basic salary range:
XOF 120,000,000 – 180,000,000
Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, education, internal equity, market rates, and available budget.
