ABOUT THE ROLE
Numida is looking for an Operational Programmes Lead (OPL) to strengthen the organization’s ability to successfully implement, scale, and embed operational improvements across markets.
As Numida expands across markets and products, Operations is increasingly responsible for landing change consistently across teams, countries, and customer journeys. The challenge is no longer identifying what should change, but ensuring those changes are implemented, adopted, and sustained.
The Operational Programmes Lead exists to strengthen implementation, operational readiness, and change adoption across the Operations organization, helping operational teams move from insight and decision-making to consistent execution and measurable impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operational Programmes & Implementation
• Own the implementation and delivery of assigned operational initiatives, ensuring they achieve intended outcomes and operational impact.
• Translate operational priorities and insights into structured implementation plans.
• Track progress, identify risks, and ensure operational initiatives move from decision to adoption.
• Improve visibility, accountability, and follow-through across operational programmes and workstreams.
2. Operational Readiness & Change Adoption
• Develop repeatable approaches for operational readiness within Operations.
• Support country teams in adopting new processes, products, tools, and ways of working.
• Identify implementation risks and barriers to adoption.
• Strengthen change communication and rollout effectiveness across operational teams.
3. Operational Quality Assurance & SOP Effectiveness
• Establish and maintain an Operational Quality Assurance capability across markets.
• Lead SOP effectiveness reviews to ensure procedures are practical, adopted, and delivering intended outcomes.
• Identify execution gaps, quality risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Improve consistency, execution quality, and operational discipline across markets.
4. Strategic Operational Initiatives
Support and drive initiatives including:
• DD Improvement Programme
• SOP Effectiveness Programme
• Uganda Non-Central Expansion Pilot
• Operational Quality Assurance Capability Setup
• Incentive Implementation and Change Support
• Cross-Market Operational Playbooks and Standardization
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Commerce, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in operations, operational excellence, programme management, business transformation, consulting, implementation, or process improvement roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
• Experience driving operational change, process improvement, service delivery improvement, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Strong programme and project management skills, including planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and execution tracking.
• Experience working in multi-site, multi-country, or distributed operating environments is an advantage.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, telecommunications, or other high-volume operational environments is preferred.
• Exposure to operational readiness, change management, quality assurance, continuous improvement, or business transformation programmes is an added advantage.
