Job Purpose
The Programme Associate (G-6) provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of UNICEF programmes. The role bridges operational delivery by coordinating with Programme, Operations, Finance, Supply units, and external partners including government ministries, NGOs, and donors.
The position supports effective programme planning, implementation, reporting, and compliance with organizational rules through data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Partnership Coordination
  • Support project planning, implementation, and monitoring
  • Coordinate partner risk assessments (Due Diligence, PSEA, Micro-Assessments, Spot Checks)
  • Support timely processing of Funding Authorization and FACE forms
  • Monitor Direct Cash Transfers (DCTs) and ensure proper liquidation
  • Liaise with programme managers, partners, and stakeholders
2. Data Management, Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect and analyze programme data (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations for KPIs and donors
  • Support use of digital and AI tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Contribute to evidence-based decision-making
3. Grant & Budget Management
  • Track budgets, expenditures, and grant utilization using SAP
  • Support grant monitoring, expiry tracking, and reprogramming
  • Prepare financial and donor reports
  • Contribute to funding proposals and statutory reporting
4. Digital Innovation & Efficiency
  • Use AI, automation tools, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, and Service Gateway
  • Support digital transformation and workflow optimization
  • Ensure data protection and compliance with privacy guidelines
5. Communication & Knowledge Management
  • Draft reports, briefs, and communication materials
  • Maintain SharePoint documentation systems
  • Support knowledge sharing and onboarding of new staff
6. Capacity Building & Coordination
  • Organize workshops, training sessions, and field missions
  • Coordinate logistics, participants, and vendor engagement
7. Flexibility & Emergency Support
  • Provide surge support during emergencies or re-prioritization
  • Support cross-functional teams for continuity of operations
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Secondary education is required
  • Additional professional or university training in relevant fields is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in:
    • Administration
    • Program management
    • Budget and grant management
    • Monitoring and evaluation
    • Partnership and risk management
    • Data analysis and reporting
Skills
