REGIONAL COLLECTIONS MANAGER JOB AT SUN KING – KAMPALA, UGANDA
JOB SUMMARY
Sun King is seeking a Regional Collections Manager to lead and strengthen collections operations for its PAYG product portfolio across assigned regions. The role focuses on improving repayment performance, portfolio quality, and customer satisfaction through data-driven decision-making and field execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze collection and repayment data to improve portfolio quality
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly collection strategies for delinquent accounts
  • Conduct field and mystery market visits to assess sales quality and customer issues
  • Provide weekly reports and insights to Sales and Risk Management teams
  • Design, pilot, and implement collection processes to improve repayment rates
  • Work with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives on repossessions
  • Report and escalate fraud, product tampering, and mis-selling cases
  • Train field agents on collections, repossessions, and customer handling
  • Ensure timely execution of collection calls and recovery tasks by field teams
  • Recruit and manage cash collection centers in key regions
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in collections, debt recovery, microfinance, fintech, or banking
  • Experience working with rural customers and field operations
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and issue-tracking ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Experience working with cross-functional sales and risk teams
