Job Title: Senior Specialist – Products & Services (Growth & New Business) – MTN Uganda
Main Purpose
To lead and manage end-to-end concept creation, development, and delivery of all MTN fixed and new business products and innovations, enhancing customer value propositions, driving revenue growth, and improving customer satisfaction.
Main Job Functions
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
  • Manage delivery of fixed and new business products aligned to MTN strategy and roadmap
  • Oversee full product lifecycle management including post-launch performance and improvements
  • Manage enhancements and changes to existing product offerings
Market & Innovation Analysis
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and technological innovations
  • Identify opportunities for new product and service development
  • Analyze internal and external performance indicators
  • Conduct product and marketing research to improve uptake
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Marketing, Network, IT, Finance, Customer Experience, and BI teams
  • Ensure technical and economic feasibility of new products
  • Ensure customer-centric support structures are in place
Product Testing & Launch Support
  • Coordinate end-to-end product testing with relevant departments
  • Support go-to-market planning and product readiness
  • Ensure consensus approval before product launch
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track product performance against budget, uptake, and profitability
  • Develop metrics and reporting systems for product performance tracking
  • Recommend actions to improve product performance
Business Case & Strategy Support
  • Support development of business cases and product proposals
  • Assist in continuity or end-of-life decisions for products
  • Improve product processes and operational efficiency
Customer Insight & Improvement
  • Identify customer needs, trends, and behavior patterns
  • Feed insights into business units for continuous service improvement
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Software Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Business Computing
    • Marketing
    • Or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years working experience
  • Exposure to innovation or product development projects
  • Experience in telecom billing or connectivity solutions (added advantage)
