Trade Marketing Manager Job in Uganda (Kampala) | Field Marketing & Brand Visibility Role

Job Description
A company is seeking an experienced Trade Marketing Manager to lead execution of field marketing, brand visibility, and trade activation activities across Uganda.
The role focuses on delivering high-impact point-of-sale marketing (POSM), dealership branding, outdoor visibility campaigns, and in-store communication to strengthen brand presence and drive sales performance.
The Trade Marketing Manager will oversee regional execution teams, coordinate vendors, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of all trade marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Trade Marketing Execution
  • Lead execution of POSM deployment and in-store branding initiatives
  • Oversee dealership, wall branding, swap station branding, and outdoor visibility campaigns
  • Ensure consistent brand communication across all retail and field channels
2. Field Operations & Supervision
  • Supervise regional trade marketing activities through regular field visits and audits
  • Monitor project execution and ensure compliance with brand standards
  • Conduct follow-ups on ongoing field campaigns and activations
3. Team Leadership
  • Manage and guide Trade Marketing Executives
  • Ensure accurate reporting and performance tracking
  • Provide leadership to ensure quality execution of trade strategies
4. Activations & Campaigns
  • Support field activations such as route campaigns and dealer events
  • Coordinate large-scale promotional activities including community events
  • Oversee execution of experiential marketing activities (e.g., Boda Boda Fest)
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate vendors, installers, and fabricators
  • Ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality delivery of materials and installations
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance
Requirements
  • 5–8 years’ experience in Trade Marketing or Field Execution
  • Strong experience managing regional visibility and brand campaigns
  • Proven ability to lead field teams and manage execution projects
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Ability to travel frequently across regions in Uganda
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital or performance marketing
  • Strong experience in:
    • Paid media campaigns
    • Social media growth strategies
    • Digital analytics and reporting
    • Influencer marketing
  • Proven ability to manage agencies and cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of fast-paced digital marketing environments
