Job Summary
The Project Assistant will support implementation of community development projects, facilitate trainings, monitor project progress, and work closely with community groups to improve livelihoods and reduce extreme poverty.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation
  • Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages
  • Coordinate and facilitate community training activities
  • Implement RTV project methodologies to improve household income
  • Verify goods and project inputs before distribution
  • Conduct project follow-ups and support community groups
  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation measures
  • Hold meetings with community leaders and beneficiaries
2. Reporting & Administration
  • Develop and manage work plans
  • Prepare weekly field reports and updates
  • Support donor reporting and proposal development
  • Participate in staff and cluster meetings
  • Prepare financial requests and accountabilities
  • Capture and submit project photos for documentation
3. Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to project management
  • Identify areas for project improvement and sustainability
  • Support learning and continuous improvement within programs
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical & Administrative Skills
  • Strong training and facilitation skills
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • Fluency in local languages spoken in project areas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of community-based development principles
Personal Competencies
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Positive attitude in challenging environments
  • Flexible and adaptable work ethic
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and communities
  • Physically fit and able to travel extensively and hike difficult terrain
