Field Extension Officer – Moroto District

• Provide guidance to farmers on best agronomic practices and appropriate input combinations.
• Support farmers in making informed decisions on agricultural inputs and farming methods.
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with farmers and customers in the field.

• Maintain an updated farmer register using the KoboCollect digital data collection system.
• Generate and manage accurate digital farmer profiles.
• Report all field activities and sales interactions daily through the official WhatsApp extension group.

• Conduct structured visits and report at least 300 farmers annually.
• Support onboarding of 12 active agro-input agents per year (approximately one per month).
• Conduct continuous farmer follow-ups and advisory visits.

• Establish and manage 15 functional demonstration gardens annually.
• Organize and facilitate farmer field days at the end of each season.
• Train farmers on improved agricultural practices through demonstrations and practical sessions.

• Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase outlet sales.
• Strengthen linkages between farmers, agents, and agro-input outlets.
• Promote agricultural inputs through field engagement and advisory services.

• Certificate or Diploma in Crop Production from a recognized institution.
• Fluency in English and at least one local language (Luganda, Runyankore, or Rukiga).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in rural field environments.

• Strong farmer engagement and extension skills.
• Ability to collect and manage digital field data (KoboCollect).
• Good planning, reporting, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity and accountability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation within an impact-driven social enterprise.
