Position Overview

Pride Bank is seeking two motivated and field-oriented professionals to join its Kisoro Branch team as Relationship Officers.
These roles are central to the bank’s lending and customer growth strategy. The officers will be responsible for identifying new clients, assessing creditworthiness, building strong customer relationships, and supporting sustainable loan portfolio performance.
The positions require individuals who are comfortable working in field environments, engaging directly with clients, and making informed financial assessments.

1. Relationship Officer – Micro Finance

Role Summary
The Microfinance Relationship Officer will focus on acquiring and managing individual clients and small business borrowers. The role involves conducting field assessments to verify client information and ensure responsible lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and recruit new microfinance clients within the community
  • Conduct field visits to homes and business premises for client assessment
  • Verify income sources and evaluate repayment capacity
  • Assess credit applications and recommend appropriate loan decisions
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Monitor loan performance and support timely repayments
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies and risk guidelines
  • Support growth of the microfinance loan portfolio

2. Relationship Officer – Agribusiness

Role Summary
The Agribusiness Relationship Officer will focus on supporting farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural enterprises by providing access to financing and financial guidance. The role is key in strengthening the bank’s agricultural lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with agribusiness clients and farmers
  • Identify viable agricultural financing opportunities
  • Evaluate agricultural loan applications and business potential
  • Monitor performance of agribusiness loan portfolios
  • Support clients in improving financial discipline and business growth
  • Promote agricultural banking products and services
  • Ensure compliance with lending and risk management standards
  • Build partnerships within farming communities and cooperatives

Required Qualifications (Both Positions)

Applicants should meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Agriculture, Microfinance, or a related field
  • Previous experience in banking, credit management, microfinance, or field sales is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of financial services and lending operations
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork and client evaluations effectively
  • Good analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
