Responsibilities
Project Implementation
- Conduct project design review meetings with respective partner villages and provide feedback as required to update project designs and budgets prior to implementation;
- Coordinate and co-facilitate training activities including financial literacy, behavior and mindset change, WASH (water and health sanitation), VSLA, agriculture, livestock care and management, and health outreaches;
- Implement RTV’s project methodologies to increase household income and reduce extreme poverty as per project designs;
- Develop and submit list of required goods and services for project implementation to procurement and logistics officers;
- Verify goods/inputs prior to distribution;
- Conduct project follow-up and provide support and guidance to community groups and households;
- Identify risks and provide mitigation measures and recommendations;
- Conduct regular community meetings on performance, participation, and perceptions of RTV programs.
Reporting and Administration
- Develop and manage work plans;
- Complete weekly field reporting and support donor reporting and proposal writing;
- Attend weekly staff and cluster meetings;
- Submit weekly financial requests and accountabilities;
- Capture and share photographs for documentation and reporting.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Provide feedback to Project Officers and Managers for program improvement;
- Recommend activities for revision or introduction to improve sustainability and impact;
- Support continuous improvement of RTV methodologies and community outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Development Studies, Social Work and Social Administration, Rural Development, or Agriculture;
- Field experience in community mobilization, livelihood projects, facilitation, and monitoring community-based interventions;
- 2–3 years’ experience in high-impact donor-funded projects with target-driven performance;
- Experience with VSLA, financial literacy, and market linkage programs;
- Male and female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Technical and Administrative Skills
- Strong training and facilitation skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English;
- Fluency in relevant local languages (Runyakore/Rukiga, Rufumbira/Kinyarwanda, Rutooro/Runyoro);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive);
- Strong understanding of community-based development principles;
- Ability to work independently and in teams;
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and relationship-building skills;
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in fast-paced environments;
- Physical ability to hike and work in high terrain;
- Valid motorcycle riding permit and rural fieldwork experience;
- Willingness to travel 90% of the time;
