About EACOP
The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is a landmark regional infrastructure project designed to transport crude oil from Uganda’s oil fields in Hoima (Kabaale area) to the Tanzanian port of Tanga for export to international markets.
The pipeline stretches approximately 1,443 kilometers, making it one of the longest heated crude oil pipelines in the world. The project is jointly developed to enhance energy infrastructure, strengthen regional trade corridors, and support economic development in both Uganda and Tanzania.

Each role contributes to different aspects of pipeline construction, operations, stakeholder engagement, safety management, and corporate communication.
Role Overview
These positions are part of EACOP’s workforce expansion strategy aimed at building a highly skilled team capable of delivering a world-class energy infrastructure project.
Employees will work in a structured, safety-driven, and performance-oriented environment that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Depending on the role, employees may be involved in engineering support, logistics coordination, safety compliance, communications, or community engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities (Across Different Roles)
1. Engineering & Technical Support
- Support electrical and mechanical operations within project sites
- Assist in construction and maintenance of pipeline systems
- Ensure adherence to technical standards and engineering procedures
- Participate in troubleshooting and operational improvements
2. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Implement and monitor safety policies across project activities
- Prepare safety and environmental compliance reports
- Support risk assessment and incident prevention programs
- Promote a strong safety-first culture among teams
3. Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate fleet management and transportation systems
- Support supply chain planning and resource allocation
- Track movement of equipment and materials across sites
- Improve operational efficiency through reporting and monitoring
4. Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage internal and external communication activities
- Support stakeholder mapping and engagement processes
- Document project progress and communication materials
- Strengthen relationships with communities and partners
5. Social Performance & Community Relations
- Support community engagement programs and outreach activities
- Monitor social impact indicators and field feedback
- Promote positive relationships between project teams and communities
- Contribute to social development initiatives linked to the project
