Geologist Job at Roofings Group (5+ Years Experience)

• Plan and execute geological exploration programs, including geological mapping, sampling, drilling, and resource evaluation activities.
• Conduct geological investigations to identify and assess mineral deposits, aggregates, and other raw materials required for manufacturing operations.
• Interpret geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to support exploration, resource development, and operational planning.
• Develop and maintain geological models, resource estimates, reserve calculations, and technical reports in accordance with industry standards.
• Provide geological expertise during quarry development and mining operations to maximize resource recovery and operational efficiency.
• Monitor raw material quality, ore boundaries, and extraction activities to minimize resource losses and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Coordinate geological sampling programs, laboratory testing, and quality assurance processes for raw materials.
• Maintain accurate geological databases, maps, drilling records, and exploration reports using GIS and geological modelling software.
• Analyze geological data and prepare technical reports to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, environmental regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Participate in environmental management, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance audits.
• Liaise with government authorities, consultants, contractors, and internal departments regarding exploration activities, mining permits, and resource management.
• Support licensing, permitting, and regulatory reporting requirements for quarry and mining operations.
• Recommend strategies for improving resource utilization, extraction efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
• Stay updated on advancements in geological exploration techniques, mining technologies, and industry best practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Professional certification or membership with a recognized geological or mining professional body will be an added advantage.
• A postgraduate qualification in Geology, Mining, Earth Sciences, or a related field will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in geological exploration, quarrying, mining operations, or industrial mineral resource management.
• Proven experience in geological mapping, mineral exploration, resource estimation, and quarry development.
• Practical experience in geological modelling and mineral resource evaluation.
• Experience supporting quarry operations and raw material quality management.
