Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming grain using computerized grain handling systems.
• Test grain quality and moisture content before processing.
• Operate grain cleaning and drying systems.
• Transfer grain through cleaning and drying processes into appropriate storage bins.
• Utilize available storage capacity efficiently.
• Monitor drying processes to maintain required grain quality standards.

• Operate grain milling machinery to produce quality milled grains and flour.
• Perform grain processing activities including:
  • Cleaning
  • De-stoning
  • De-husking
  • Hulling
  • Polishing
  • Grinding
• Monitor milling processes to ensure production efficiency.
• Maintain consistent product quality during processing.

• Conduct regular inspections of stored grains and finished products.
• Monitor grain quality in silos and storage facilities.
• Aerate stored products when necessary.
• Recommend improvements to production processes.
• Blend finished whole grains, milled grains, and flour products to achieve required quality standards.

• Operate automated systems for loading grain and finished products onto trucks.
• Ensure accurate handling and transfer of products.
• Maintain proper documentation of production activities.

• Carry out routine inspections of drying and milling equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities.
• Maintain production facilities and equipment in good working condition.

• Maintain clean and organized production areas.
• Follow food safety, health, and safety procedures.
• Promote teamwork and a positive workplace environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Grain Processing
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Food Processing
  • Related technical field.
• Proven experience in:
  • Grain drying operations
  • Grain milling
  • Agro-processing
  • Food production environments
• Knowledge of industrial drying and milling equipment.
• Strong understanding of grain drying and milling processes.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and grain quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
