Job Summary
Uganda Airlines is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Country Manager – West Africa & Rwanda to lead the airline's commercial operations within the assigned markets.
The Country Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, passenger sales, market share, commercial development and customer experience, while providing leadership and oversight across sales, marketing, travel trade relationships, GSA management, airport commercial operations and local ticketing activities.
The successful candidate will represent Uganda Airlines (UNACL) commercially within the assigned territory and build strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate customers, government institutions, NGOs, diplomatic missions, tourism stakeholders, airport authorities and other strategic partners.
This is a senior airline commercial management and country management position requiring strong knowledge of aviation markets, travel trade, corporate sales, GSA management, revenue generation and commercial governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Leadership and Commercial Representation
  • Represent Uganda Airlines commercially within the assigned country or territory.
  • Drive implementation of the airline's commercial strategy.
  • Lead market growth initiatives and commercial development.
  • Maintain strong visibility for Uganda Airlines within the travel trade.
  • Develop relationships within the corporate sector and tourism industry.

2. Passenger Sales and Revenue Growth

The Country Manager will directly supervise and manage Passenger General Sales Agents (GSAs) and Cargo GSAs within the assigned territory.

  • Ensure GSAs comply with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor achievement of GSA sales targets.
  • Review GSA reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Uganda Airlines branding standards.
  • Monitor customer service standards.
