About Uganda Airlines
Uganda Airlines is Uganda's national carrier, providing passenger and cargo air transport services across regional and international destinations. The airline is seeking an experienced and highly qualified B737 Captain to join its flight operations team.

Job Summary
The Captain B737 will be designated as the Pilot in Command (PIC) for flights operated by Uganda Airlines.
The Captain will have overall responsibility for the safety, security and conduct of the flight, passengers, crew and cargo while on duty. The position also involves supervising the actions and activities of all crew members assigned to the flight.
The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional aviation safety, flight leadership, decision-making, crew resource management, operational discipline and customer service.
Authority and Responsibilities of the Pilot in Command
1. Flight Safety and Security
The Pilot in Command exercises final authority concerning the operation of the aircraft.
The Captain is responsible for:
  • The safety and security of the aircraft.

  • Cargo safety and security.
  • Taking all necessary measures to ensure safe operations during every phase of flight.

The Captain has the authority to apply additional safety margins where operational circumstances require them.

3. Responsibility Throughout the Flight
The Captain's responsibility for the safety and security of the aircraft, occupants and cargo extends from the point at which the aircraft is ready to move for take-off until the aircraft comes to rest at the end of the flight and the engines used for primary propulsion have been shut down.
Where the aircraft is parked, locked and sealed, the applicable responsibilities continue in accordance with established operational procedures.
