Brief Description
Overall Purpose of the Job
The Radiographer is responsible for performing X-ray and ultrasound (USG) examinations in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and hygiene measures, ensuring patient privacy and contributing to improved health outcomes.
Roles and Duties
Patient Care & Imaging
  • Perform safe, high-quality radiographic and ultrasound imaging to support diagnosis and treatment
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, compiling medical history, and ensuring confidentiality
Radiation & Safety Compliance
  • Enforce radiation safety protocols, including protective equipment use and safeguarding vulnerable groups (e.g., pregnant women)
  • Maintain hygiene standards in imaging rooms and equipment
Equipment & Inventory Management
  • Conduct routine equipment checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance; report malfunctions promptly
  • Manage stock inventory and requisition supplies through the pharmacist
