LOAN CONSULTANT

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Loan Consultant is the first point of contact for clients and represents UNIFI’s brand at branch level. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer experience, guiding clients through the loan process, ensuring accurate documentation, driving sales targets, and supporting collections while maintaining integrity, professionalism, and a client-first mindset.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Loan Consultant will support branch operations by welcoming clients, explaining loan products, processing applications, ensuring accurate documentation, handling client records and cash responsibly, driving sales performance, and supporting loan recovery efforts while maintaining high service standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service & Client Engagement
  • Welcome clients warmly and guide them through the loan process
  • Explain loan products clearly and simply
  • Ensure clients understand terms and conditions before signing
  • Build trust through professional and respectful interactions

Loan Processing & Documentation
  • Capture client information accurately
  • Ensure all required documents are complete and correctly filed
  • Maintain proper client records and data integrity
  • Follow internal procedures and compliance standards

Sales & Branch Performance
  • Drive branch performance by achieving set targets
  • Actively contribute to loan portfolio growth
  • Maintain a results-driven and proactive work attitude
  • Support branch success through daily performance ownership

Cash Handling & Compliance
  • Handle cash and client transactions responsibly
  • Ensure accuracy in financial records and documentation
  • Follow internal controls and compliance procedures strictly

Collections Support
  • Follow up on clients with outstanding payments
  • Support repayment planning and recovery efforts
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication during collections

Teamwork & Branch Operations
  • Work collaboratively with branch staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional branch environment
  • Contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture
  • Share feedback to improve processes and service delivery

REQUIREMENTS
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (advantageous)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, sales, or retail role
  • Basic understanding of financial and credit concepts
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Target-driven and performance-oriented mindset
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure
  • Self-organized and reliable
  • Comfortable following structured processes and systems
